Given it is one of the most important rooms in the house and the most used, it naturally becomes crucial to get the right layout to keep it functional and allow for ease of use. Here are some critical critical factors to consider when designing certain types of kitchens.

Long and skinny kitchens

Avoid double-stack if possible to allow ease of use. Try to keep the sink, stove and fridge on one side. You can achieve storage on both sides if you keep the side opposite the bench top shallow with sliding doors and/or open shelves. Allow for more windows or natural light to borrow visual space from outside.

U-shape kitchens

Try to make the most out of your bench space by using single bowl sinks. If your budget allows, try to invest in Lemans units for corner solutions to avoid dead space.
Due to kitchens becoming a design feature in homes, people are investing in them to achieve trendy, smart and functional spaces without breaking the bank.

Doors

Melteca kitchen doors have come a long way as it is one of the most hard wearing and affordable materials you can use on cabinet doors.
They now come in exciting colours and textures. There is no need to worry about the edge tape as they match the door front seamlessly.
If you are pushed for money, a good way to revamp your kitchen cabinets is to keep the carcase if in good condition and only change the doors and drawers to keep costs down.

Handles

This design feature can affect the style of your kitchen dramatically. 'Strip' and 'rebait' handles retain their popularity.
Due to this high demand, they are no longer reserved for expensive kitchens and are much more affordable for the general public.

Bench tops

With vast ranges of engineered stones at different thicknesses, they are now more accessible for different types of budgets. It is a desirable product due to its qualities that are non-porous, heat resistant and with a modern uniformed appearance.
Also, a thin type of bench top (6-8mm thick) can be installed straight on top of your laminate bench top to freshen up the look of your tired kitchen at low cost.
